When people think of the beaches at Mollymook and the fishing in Ulladulla, little do the know that they are missing the best part of the area! Immediately north of Mollymook Beach, on the northern side of Bannister Point, is scenic Narrawallee. This small coastal hamlet is a three hour drive south from Sydney or a three hour drive east from Canberra.
Narrawallee Beach is relatively flat and has more expansive stretches of soft white sand than Mollymook. It is very popular with those who love to stroll, walk or jog on the beach. If you like to have a walk along the beach, it takes around an hour to walk up and back. Some sections of the beach are also dog friendly!
The beach is patrolled in summer and at Easter. The beach is bounded by a bushland reserve with easy parking and picnic areas set up with BBQ’s and picnic tables.
Narrawallee also has its own crystal clear lake/inlet where the tidal Narrawallee Creek enters the sea. The creek and inlet are popular for fishing or just splashing around in the calm water. Narrawallee Inlet is the perfect spot if you have young children as it's well protected and not too deep. A play area for children is also available.
